Basically only a player focused on light armor, or a player at midgame that's not heavily invested in heavy armor, light armor, or alteration, can even consider wearing one of these

Or, am I wrong about that? Seems like I should be able to wear Morokei and still get my mage armor perk.

Bethesda, bethesda ><. Masks appropriate for mages should have no armor class. Masks appropriate for light armor wearers should be light armor, and those appropriate to plate wearers should be heavy

and i think i missed one cause it wouldnt let me loot the body of a named draugr boss

Ive found two so far that are heavy...one light...still more to go

Can you give locations of those? I found Kryosis and Morki but if I had the names or locations of the others I'd be after them. :hubbahubba:

Ive got two that are heavy so the op is incorrect.

Yeah MOST of them are heavy. 5 of the eight you can get from dragon priests are heavy armor. There's another special one you can get - also heavy. I guess the wooden mask is light armor if you want to count that. So 6 out of 10 are heavy, 3 + the wooden mask are light.

Well the artifact does not say it, but it will also sometimes someone a dragon priest to help you in battle. That part kind of makes it a little cooler.

Not useless, Volsungs mask is pretty awesome, increasing carry weight while weighing hardly anything itself, But yes, most of them aren't really handy to keep in your inventory.

Okay, so I was wrong. But at least one is tuned for a mage, and counts as light armor. Basically, I can't wear it since i'm perked into mage armor.
