i got this today i dont know its folt of new patch coze before patch i was able to trade with Traveling Merchant, but now every time i tradeing with him and pressing ACCEPT game crashes.... i never had any problem with F NV until now, any sugestions ?

Yes I've had the same problem.

I'd like to add two things:
1. This also happens with the female trader dressed the same.
2. If you separate out your purchases and sales (complete one action before starting the next), you can purchase and sell everything EXCEPT Caravan cards. Whenever I buy Caravan cards, that's when the game crashes.

Let's compare machines to be safe:
1. Win7 x64
2. AMD Phenom II x4 965
3. 6GB DDR3 @1333MHz
4. ATi Radeon 5750 (1GB DDR5)

I had the same problem, and it is buying cards that causes the crash. There's a user-mod linked in this thread that's fixed things for me. Give it a try:

Me too, when buying Caravan cards off this guy, the game crashes. Nice to be a beta tester for Bethesda ain't it!

Same here. Have had several successful trades with him, then suddenly he crashes the game every time - cards involved or not.

Same problem encountered last night.

I can't find the thread documenting the fix right now, but this is what you do if you don't want to download a mod that automatically adds the cards to your deck after you purchase them.

1) drop -all- loose cards in your character inventory into a non-owned or player-owned container.
2) pick up cards, they should then be automatically added to your deck.
3) should be able to trade with merchant without CTD (unless you are doing a large transaction with many items, which is the bug I am now encountering).

The same thing happens to me. Buying the cards in a bulk purchase or individually causes the crash. I'm so fed up with this game. When I first started playing, the issues were annoying but bearable. However, as you progress, it only gets worse. The devs should be embarrassed by the condition that this game was in at release, as well as it's current state. I can't imagine how much worse it was before the patch. If I could get a refund, I would do it without hesitation.
