Yes, Morrowind is backwards compatible. But not the GotY edition.

The GOTY does, indeed, work with the Xbox 360 -- just make sure you've downloaded the content patch/update for it, and you should be good to go.

GotY editon does work on the 360. I have the GotY edtion and have played it on my 360. You just need the update to allow this that is all.
It's a bit buggy at times, but it does work. Load times might be a bit long, but it does indeed work.

Also when you save your games, the pic you get from a saved game is jumbled. Funny though if you save in an interior cell like a cave or
home, then indeed you get a normal pic.

But yes it works. :)

Also, interestingly, you can even start a game on the 360 using the original, "vanilla" version of Morrowind from 2002, then load/install the GOTY disc on top of that same save, and it still works perfectly.

Yep. It can be slightly buggy but it certainly works. And it's worth it to me! :)

I, personally, have had very few issues. I am on my first Morrowind playthrough, and certainly prefer HDMI-quality graphics over RCA-quality, so I am quite content playing on my 360. However, all (used) gamediscs are not created equally. I purchased 4 discs to get two "good" ones ... good being determined by how frequently the game "crashes" based on some "disc-read" error. But I am having quite a lot of fun with my now level-23 character.

Every Version of Morrowind works for the Xbox-360 Console and there are no issues other then slower load times on occasion.

This is not true. There is issues. I have no interior map. There is the world map, but local map is there occasioanlly most times, it's a black screen. If you are in an interior cell, say a dungeon, it's black or you get the outside local map instead. Yes there is issues. minor but if you are in a maze and can't get out, and with no local map to see where you are and where to go, it can be a game killer.

I never had that issue, or any other for that matter....weird.

Alright I will rephrase my remark. Some people may experience minor issues.
