Unarmed Combat

I'm really hoping Bethesda takes a few lessons from Fallout3 and F:NV on Unarmed combat. I always wanted to make a sneaky monk skirmisher in TES, but the weak implementation of unarmed combat made it dificult to enjoy.

For a game with an actual Unarmed skill, the fact that you were unable to buff unarmed combat with equipment, enchanted or otherwise, made it the poor sickly cousin to weapon based melee.

Some simple things that would improved unarmed combat in TES:
- Equipable unarmed weapons. Could be as simple as handwraps or as elaborate as clawed gloves, as long as they acted like weapons in that they scaled in strength and could be enchanted.
- Better unarmed moves. Give us a kick, trip or shove to toss in there so we are not just flailing our arms like a 3 year old throwing a tantrum.
- Dodge enhancement for unarmed fighters. Having two free hands should make your reflexes, and hence dodging, faster than someone holding a metre long sword and a shield weight up to 10kg.

I'd like for our gauntlets to add to our base HtH damage

I mean if i'm punching some guy with steel gauntlets that's going to hurt a hell of a lot and by doing this Gauntlets should be open to both passive enchantments and active enchantments for example 10% fire shield or 10pts of fire damage. I've always wanted to play a HtH character but never saw the point :(

As well as weapons we need some defence buff too. Bracers for example should increase the effectiveness of blocking blades.

While Fallout had the advantage of unarmed weapons, I always felt that the punching felt very sluggish and feeble. I like Oblivion's punching system much more. It feels more professional and trained.
