The poll is wrong. One birthsign, seven main skills.

We cannot tell you what you like or what you think is fun. Give us something to work with. What do you like to do in Fallout? What kind of character? What kind of playstyle? Help us out here.

My first class for Oblivion, which I've suggested to you, was fun although I never saw at the bottom you said you enjoy stealth and magic.

Imperial
The Warrior
Strength & Endurance
-Armourer
-Block
-Heavy Armour
-Blade
-Restoration
-Security
-Athletics

Although your best bet is to just try things out, you've got plenty of time and if you don't like something specific just start over.
Best of luck though!

An Imperial Warrior with Blade, Block, Heavy Armor, Restoration, Athletics, Speechcraft, and Mercantile. Strength and Endurance as the attributes, born under the Warrior.

Basic, generic Oblivion character. Not a bad one, and a good point to start the game.

I think Battlemages or just pure fighters are best for beginners but if you like stealth take
-Stealth
-Security
-Illusion
-Blade/Marksman depending if you want to snipe or shank
then just what ever you prefer

After you've played a bit you'll find what works for you. The Pillager suggested a good start. Try a bit of everything though. Pick up the bow, cast a little magic, try some different weapons (two hand, one hand, shield, no shield).

I'm a fan of stealth myself. The generic Assassin build works just fine, due to its simplicity and effectiveness as being a purely stealth orientated class.

Favored Attributes: Intelligence & Speed or Agility & Speed

-Blade: General use of all blade weapons; greatswords, longswords etc.
-Light Armor - Fur, Leather, Chainmail, Mithril, Glass, etc.
-Acrobatics - Great for leaping to good vantages points for a clear view of the target.
-Sneak - This will be great once you've leveled it a bit. I've found that given the right positioning, you can continue to rain down a hail of fire onto foes and they won't be aware of where the attack is coming from. Swift and brutal.
-Security - Lock picking which is pretty much essential unless you want to go into Alteration (I think) to get the Unlock Easy, Hard etc. spell.
-Marksman - Ties in with Sneak and speaks for itself.
-Alchemy - Some people overlook this. Alchemy means poisons, higher level alchemy means better poisons which ties into more damage which leads to bigger hits with less effort. Not to mention it being quite fun.

I will agree with some of the other posters though. Something that resembles a Battlemage might be more useful to you if you're just starting out. Illusion will cover the stealth. There's magic, plus big weapons.

Have a great time playing! Good luck.

Sorry we cannot type to you what to do. Its up to you mate. You might like elves (All you elves are all the same all skin no fury) but I don't. I done all 3, fighter, magic and stealth you might like one of them but not all. By doing all three for I it keeps the game fresh. So doing a poll is wrong and I cannot vote for you. Its up to you. I can see you done Fallout3 in the heart of the game it some what the same said for one thing. In The Elders Scrolls IV Oblivion you have swords, shields, blunts, bow & arrows and magic. In Fallout3 you have guns and etc.

You like stealthy and magic... here's my stealthy magic build:

Blade | Light Armor | Marksman | Sneak | Conjuration | Illusion | Mysticism

If you like big weapons, you can use longswords or claymores.

Race and birthsign I guess can vary.
