Hi, i'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, and i bought Fallout 3 yesterday for my PC. I have it for my consoles, so i'm familiar with the game. BUT, Immediately after entering The Capital Wasteland from Vault 101, it lags uncontrollably, leaving anything useless. Knowing something about PC gaming, i decided to see if it was just the area. SO, i went to the "testing hall" where all the game items are stored. It was perfect. No lag! Can someone please tell me how to fix this, or what i can do until i can find a permanent fix?

I have the same problem. Running Windows 7 and the game freezes up alot. Sometimes I can play for 20 minutes other times I only get a couple of seconds before it freezes up again. Very frustrating!!

Windows 7 isn't your problem, it's most likely you don't have a good enough PC to handle the game. The testing area doesn't have as much to render, just an NPC and some containers.
