TESVI: Elsweyr? Seems very very probable

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 3:37 pm

Based on the Elder Scrolls games/regions done so far, it seems absolutely probable that the next game would be the desert world of the Khajiit, Elsweyr. I reckon Skyrim would have exhausted Bethesda's use of woodland/tundra-like regions, and being that a Redguard game (as they are also from the desert) has already been done, it just seems like Bethesda have set themselves up perfectly for beautiful and immersive TES in the Khajiits homeland. I know that this topic has already been discussed millions of times, but I needed peace of mind! The only thing I can think of, apart from the amazingness of what would be done in a new TES, is the kind of middle-eastern inspired music Jeremy Soule would write! Any further thoughts?

I think Black Marsh is even more interesting but both would be a big challenge for Bethesda to design something different, consistent and original again. I wish them luck wherever they go, just go to the beast lands please.

Iffy over all. Look at how much attention was paid to the residences of those provinces in the current game. Not a whole lot.

It could be they fear the impact of anti-furry opinion, and who really likes to look at lizards all day?

Elves and humans tend to be easier for customers to relate with, as most of us are not lizards or giant kittens. (And Elves are fairly human like.)

Me, me. I can't wait to see the cats and lizards provinces. It should be so cool and different from the previous games.

Yes, but... You're weird.

(Mind you, that isn't a bad thing, just different.)

Personally I would love to see what they do with the region, but in my mind they are more likely to stick with the humans and elves, because a lot of people aren't fond of lizards, and many people are against what they see as "Furries", and seem to have irrational issues with them.
