I can't get my duel wield to work properly from my Favorites menu. I have diff weapons assigned to diff hot key numbers, but I can only equip a weapon in my right hand??? So far I can only get a spell or shield to come up in my left hand. I have to manually equip duel wield from the inventory which is a pain in the A$$. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug??

I've got the same problem.... I had no issue for my first 50 hrs or so the all of a sudden this started happening.

Sory I got no answers.... and I know its annoying as hell.

Well good to know that it's not my brain failing. I thought I was missing something simple/stupid... So it sounds like the systems a bit broken for duel wield right now?

You are not the only one. . . The UI simply insults the player's intelligence.

Yeah, it's not a very good system. You run out of magicka and your enemy gets to close, so you press 1 and equip a sword to block his attack, but because you still have a spell in your other hand, you get hit anyway.

I think they must have assigned the UI design to the unpaid interns because it really svcks for things like equipping two weapons, a shield and a weapon, etc.

Gods, I hope they didn't pay someone to design it this way. They got ripped off if so. Person who did it should obviously find a new job. Preferably one as far away from computers and software as humanly possible. A grocery sacker, perhaps.

Has Bethesda announced any patching on this??

Yeah its' sort of an issue and the main reason I've strayed away from even bothering with any type of hybrid character. Hopefully there's something forthcoming to fix it, although compared to other bugs I've seen relatively little outcry about it so I won't hold my breath.

The way Ive come to do it is to have my offhand weapon 'selected' in my favourites menu so that when I want to switch to dualwield (my main course of attack) I press 2 (which is my Main hand weapon in favourites) and then press Q and right click my mouse which selects the selected option to my left hand.

Hope this gets fixed at some point :/

TL,DR: I press 2 then Q then right click to dualwield.

That's pretty much what I have been doing. Hard to believe that this went through quality control and passed.
