I'm looking at the map that came with the game right now and I noticed several little red Xs in certain spots. Has anyone seen these or checked out what they lead to? If so, anything good?

Its where those stones are that give you powers

From what I understand they show the locations of those stones that replaced birthsigns.

Ah okay. That's useful. I still haven't found all of those.

Most of them do appear to mark those guardian stones. Except I've been trying to track down the rest of those stones using the map and I just found a Dwemer ruin next to Lake Yorgrim and couldn't find any trace of the ones by Dawnstar either. Some of them must be hidden pretty well. (Maybe it's inside the Dwemer Ruin?)

maybe its not guardian stones but dragon walls. thatd also explain why the marks are where dragons are.

It's either where dragons will be found, or else walls of power where words for the various dragon shouts are found.

On that tack, this thread should be kicked over to where spoilers are allowed.

Some people do like that mystery, y'know.
