Is the ps3 version really that bad?

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 7:24 pm

I only ask, as my brother has it for ps3. I asked him if he'd had any problems and he said it was running perfectly. He has an old fatbody ps3, could the model have anything to do with how well it runs?

Other than that, apologies for starting ANOTHER thread, but I am just curious. And a PPS: a week for a dev to address a problem is VERY fast. Those who dont think so need to take a step back and see how long it takes other games to be tweaked; black ops was supposedly revolutionary and those updates were monthly at best.

its not bad but once the save file gets bigger and bigger, the game becomes more unstable and starts stuttering. but they are working on a patch to fix this.

The ps3 version is for the most part right now unplayable. Just being honest. Your brother probably hasn't ran into any problems because he probably hasn't played it that long. And a week is extremely long, especially while having to watch people post gameplay about it and forums. If you are saying it's not, it's because you don't have to go through this problem as you either have a pc or xbox. You are also forgetting that even though black ops had monthly updates, throughout those months the game was still playable. Big difference kid.

This^

Turn off the auto saves and it can even sign out of the network(ps3). Doing this really helps. I have no problems and I'm above that 7mb save file mark. It actually runs better than most games I have. Hopefully nothing happens further down the road. That's one reason I'm taking my time so the save doesn't get to big before the patch and also so I can enjoy the game of course.
