Help with enchanting?

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 8:05 am

So I'm trying to disenchant some adept robes of conjuration, which decreases conjuration magicka by 17%, and will increase my magicka recharge by 100%. The only problem is when I try to disenchant it, it says that the enchantment is already known. I look in my enchantments and the closest one is one that increases by magicka recharge by 10%, and decreases conjuration magicka needed by 1%... even with a grand soul gem.

Help?

Right you already know the effects on the robe, when you learn the effect you learn how to do it up to your skill level in Enchanting. So to make better enchantments, like to be better at anything else, you have to invest time and perks into the skill.

What is your enchantment level? You need perks and high level enchantment to up the stats I think? Also potions are handy I hear.

My enchantment skill is 45, but I have yet to invest any perks in it. On my old build, whenever I put perks into non-combat skills I felt really underpowered...

An enchantment does something, in this case increases magicka regen and reduce cost of conjuration magic. The amount that an enchantment gives you AKA the power of it depends on the enchanters enchanting skill <-This is the biggy get your enchanting skill to 100 and get the +% improvement perks.

Get the perks will double the power of your enchantments and at 100 enchant skill your enchantment will be 2.2..x stronger as well, that means at the moment your at 22% of you maximum enchanting power and that without the booster items.

Well you using perks to buff the armor and weps so that shouldn't be a problem. If anything I hear enchanting (coupled with smithing), is the surest way to make your character overpowered.

Yeah...not really a problem with Enchanting and Smithing, in fact they can easily overpower you. I guess I can see how maybe Pickpocket or Speech would make you feel underpowered but really? Even Sneak? My secondary character has quite a few Sneak perks by now and I just feel overpowered because he's basically invisible it seems.
