Light vs. Heavy armour for rangers?

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 7:00 am

So finally I have the dragon scales/bones to make dragon armour and I noticed that there's two different kinds you can make, light and heavy dragon armour.

Are there any benefits of light armour over heavy armour except for the fact it's lighter for archers?

Thanks, just wanted to make sure on this before I make it haha.

Light armor is easier to sneak in, can run away faster (and sprint for longer). I guess it depends on how you use your bow. Do you sneak in, pick them off one by one, or are you more of a combat archer?

I prefer light by far, due to speed and stamina. Btw daedric is better heavy then dragon.

Use the forum search bar, there are many threads on this topic.

Good luck deciding.

I am pretty sure light armor makes less noise than heavy when sneaking. I'm a stealth ranger so i'm specializing in light.

Ahh right okay so it helps you sneak better as well.

I don't tend to sneak too much but I guess I should, I think I'll go for the light armour then.

In terms of dragon armor. The dragon scale is the best light armor and better for rangers. The dragon bone is the second best heavy armor. It is beat out by Dadric.

You can move better/quicker in Light Armour i belive & it's better suited to sneaky/hunter players. Heavy Armour is best for a Battlemage /Warrior, as you go toe to toe with enemies more.

Well heavy gives 50% Stagger resist & 10% melee reflect. Light gives 50% faster stamina regen and 10% dodge!

The other 2 Heavy perks are Meh +damage when boxing (you should do enough damage without this) and less damage from falls (but you die 90% of the time anyway if you fall and it easy to avoid as well).
