Dragons AI can be impressive at times

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 3:20 am

Well when you meet dragon in the open its the usual stuff fly around, stand in the air attack you, land well the boring stuff, but when they attack in towns its really impressive, i was attacked in winterhold and the dragon landed on the houses blowing frost to everyone down, then he went in the air and landed on the gatehouse, he also grabed one of the guards like in the trailer and eventually he crashed down and 6-7 npc stood around him giving comments what just happened , i also saw a dragon killing some abandoned burned down town he killed like 5 bandits below him, its really fun to watch what the do from time to time.

Awww damn, I've wanted to see a dragon grab somebody the whole time I've been playing this game. :(

And you didn't even film it.
Shame on you.

Edit: At least I guess it means it wasn't cut. Yay. :celebration:

Yeah I've had a time where a dragon tried to flee by flying off but became so weak that it crashlanded.

I was like "Cowards don't go to Sovngarde" then Shouted the beast to death.

I dont really like dragons anymore, most of the time they flee when i get their health to 50% or then they kill me with some random lucky hit. Like yesterday a frost dragon one-shotted me like that archer in the last part of the 3 part demo, and i even had full health..

if your having trouble with the frost dragons just wait till you run into an Elder Dragon, then this happens---

---saw an elder dragon pick up a mamoth and drop it. funny thing was it landed on the giant that was walking beside it. next thing you know th giant goes taking off after the dragon. the falling mamoth must have hurt him bad because it only took one bit from the beast to kill it. after that it spotted me.

dragon kill cut sceens rock, i wield an ax in my right hand and a spell in the other. after dealing the death blow i jump on its head and repeatedly smash it in the eye with my weapon while its trying to throw me off.

dragons

I'm starting to hate dragon attacks on cities.
Yeah, they're spectacular but guards kill them too easily, npcs don't die cause they go in that stupid beg&recovery state and the dragon starts to ignore them...I, the Dragonborn can just stay there and watch, waiting for my new soul while normal iron arrows tear a Blood Dragon apart.

Yup the do that often, the dragon i described did that, he fell not far from winterhold main road all the npc's from the town surrounded him and, and after he was dead they started cheating like how i absorbed his power, why did he came there etc was interesting

They can be pretty damn cool.

Other times they can be annoying, like the Cliff Races of Morrowind.

I have had one when I was a lower level just continually circle me and never land. Sometimes it would stop to hover and breathe down some fire but I could never hit it.

Now I could zap it until it falls.

Well yeah if you met him in the open but if there are cliffs and buildings they land, change to kill surrounding npc's wich is cool

Just love dragons in this game! I kept hoping one would attack the mage college but it didnt

A lot of people dont use the bow on dragons because they say its too easy but I love it! Run out of mana way too fast

Once you get Impact as a mage any dragon is easy........ Dragons shouldn't be able to be staggered... :sadvaultboy:
