I urge you all to buy the two mappacks.. please!

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 12:39 am

You get a total of 9 maps, 1 new gun and smoke grenades for (depending on country and currency) $25/19 euro/£17

Thats what you pay for a big meal and a milkshake at Mcdonalds, a few pints on the pub, going to the cinemas.. all of which ends or getting peed out after a few hours.

I've been running around the maps in private match, and i must say they are super awesome and have some great feel to them, you wont regret it.

17 pounds for a large meal at McDonalds? You nuts? Which store is doing that nonsense?

Loool.

No one is really interested atm. Crytek don't talk about Crysis 2, nothing to promote it. What do you expect? Sorry dude, best luck is to try find a clan who has map packs, and join up.

Okaaaay.. maybe 10 pounds then... but if you bring a friend and pay for him, it's both the mappacks.

Nonetheless.. still sad to see that so many bailed on Crytek and Crysis 2.

I Bought the Nano Edition and one extra copy for the 13 year old + the two mappacks... talk about supporting Crytek for nothing..

On PS3 its more shocking I agree.

Since you can just share it with a friend.

Yeah, svcks though.

PS: I'd never buy McDonalds for a friend. LOL.

Meh they should just make the mappacks free, even then I doubt you could find a match without waiting in a lobby for 5~10mins rofl...

That would just anger people more.

"I paid for this, and now its free. WTFTFTFTF"

They should do some sales, or promotions etc.

Free DLC's would deffo pee me off. The extra weapons would be fine if noobs had to unlock the accessories, but of course they don't, so they take the shortcut to getting kills (to be fair I probably would have done that too once upon a time). In any event the best way to get europe playing them (and maybe more sales for Crytek) is double XP on the DLC's only.

I appreciate that it would piss people off who bought the dlc, if they went and gave them away for free, but as it stands there are lots of people who have bought them and haven't even been able to play them.

I don't think dropping the price will make a difference now, it would be too little too late.

Either: they give it away for free, in which case you have spent money on DLC for nothing, BUT you will be able to actually play the maps and it will extend the life of this game before the end of year shooters put the final nail home.

OR, they do nothing and all the people who have bought the DLC (and those who haven't) will never play on the DLC maps, so you've still bought the DLC for nothing.

What's worse? You pay for nothing and aren't able to play the maps, you pay for nothing and ARE able to play the maps

It's like buying a new LCD TV, 6 months later a friend of yours can buy the same tv for half the price.. sure you get upset, but you got something to talk about. :)
Same with game... buy them on day 1 and pay the higher price, wait 2 months and buy it used or on sale.

That mostly how it is.

Nothing stays the same price forever. Unless its selling very, very well at the price its at. I see a discount coming, the question is... would it be too late?

That is the question.... as it seems now, atleast on PS3, it's too late.

I don't think it's too late. I mean, look at the XBox community. They get their shit together and have custom games every once in a while. Perhaps everyone with DLCs should add each other (like that other thread intended) and get some private games going. That way at least you get something out of the $10-$20 you guys sent on the DLC.

It's way too late for me,and probably everyone else in my country (on ps3).

You can't even get a local game of crash site on normal maps! Would be a complete waste of money for me no matter how low they drop the price. I'll only get it when it's free, which to be honest, it should be with how "half finished" this game feels
