Hey guys. What is the name of the magazine that increases my speech skill temporarily? If so, please, give me a location, any location, prefferably one that is near the beginning of the game, of one of these magazines. Im about 20 hours in and am doing the mission for the Boomer that is in love with the Crimson Caravan red hair lady and I need to convince McLaffery to let the red hair lady leave her contract with her wages. Help!

We've all learned a valuable lesson here today. Speech is a necessary Tag! skill in New Vegas. Speech actually means something now.

Does anyone have a location?

Yes it is. No one seems to read at least the Title of the Pinned Thread that says Don't Post Spoilers Here

There's one in the tents in camp mccarran, one inside a trailer in goodsprings, one inside the new vegas medical clinic (usanagi's), two inside the gomorrah, one inside the school in goodsprings.

That should do the trick.

At Ralph and Mick's shop in freeside the gun seller has a special inventory that includes the naughty nightware +10 speech.

Speech is in my opinion the easiest skill to boost (depending on your charisma).

I personally hate companions, so I went with Charisma 1. This means with the Naughty Nightwear (+10 speech), Moonshine/Absinthe (+2 CHA) and Party-Time Mentats (+5 CHA), T51-B Power Helmet (+1 CHA), I can temporarily boost my Speech by 26 points without using those rare magazines.

You don't need speech for this game -- I get by with lockpick and science just fine.

The only catch is convincing Rose to sell needs speech or barter.

I happen to have a hardcoe character on my 2nd playthrough, and so decided to get Pack Rat perk (requires 70 barter). So even that quest is solved!

You can buy the naughty nightwear at Miks in freeside , 10 speech +1 luck , best item for getting your speech up , or you can use meeting people magazine that gives +10 (+20 with comprehension perk) to speach for a time .
