Leveling Crafts

Hearing a lot about broken leveling system. While I agree the world leveling system is flawed, I think the player is fine.

You have 2 choices to my noob-way-of-thinking. Either go all combat skills and be a monster melee/ranged fighter in whatever gear you can find.
OR....
Do some crafting. You won't hit as hard/fast/cheaply. But you'll have better armor/potions to make up for it.

I started my first smithing toon. 2H orc. After my First dungeon dive, bleak falls, I had enough coin, as well as the imperial smiths generosity, to go full upgraded steel armor and weapons. Smithing jumped me 2 levels before I even left riverwood. Thanks to the smithing perk I don't hit as hard, but neither do I get hit as hard. Balanced nicely to my eye.

You won't notice stronger enemies after two levels. And indeed, getting steel/dwarven gear in the single digit levels can actually be over powering, but remember there is a limit to the things you can craft, and you have a long ways to level 50. Enemies WILL catch up and if your combat skills aren't up to snuff, you will suffer.
