In this review I will talk about the new things you added, what I liked and didn't like, and the things you've removed from previous games, what I liked and didn't like.
So let me start off by saying, wow, this game defo has a lot in it, and when you said "there is an insane amount of stuff in this game" that was defo no understatement.
In this review I want to explain how I use to play and how I play now
In Morrowind and Oblivion I use to train my character before I did anything in the game, I use to JUMP from the time I started till it was maxed out and then so after I could skip across the water, in Skyrim the jumping is always the same, I gain nothing from it, and it doesn't affect the stamina which is fine but I liked to be able to jump insane heights and on the water. Yes "you are who you play" but I feel it is more limited now, you guys kinda caped the system in how just certain things work.
**For example the perk tree in itself, in morrowind and oblivion as you did things (because we've always been able to be who we play) you gained the skill if you did those tasks to gain in that skill level with the perk gain instantly. Now, in this game Skyrim, if say, I gain XP in that skill I can be level 100 blacksmith but not have any perks.......... I do NOT like this, the level up idea with points limits the "be who you play" scenario. If I am playing this game for YEARS (WITHOUT MODS) then I am already at a lose. At level 79 I only have 4 trees fully unlocked and 4 kinda unlocked, out of the 18 total skill trees and I use about 13 total skills out of the star tree list**
I do STILL LIKE HOW as you level up and get to a higher level things seem to get harder with you, that is nice, and how certain areas are just hard / insane period, BRILLIANT YES PLEASE MORE OF THAT.
& like the fighters guild... IN SKYRIM I MEAN, HOME OF THE NORDS.... of all the places, where most the crazy honor ego trip people live!.... the companions could be considered the fighters guild.. but you guys shoulda made it more like "The Fighters Guild, the Companion company" or "The Fighters Guild, the Companion Unit" something like that... (but actually the companions quest line broke for me so I wasn't able to fully complete the quests the first run threw of the game)
The Bard thing, I like what you guys were doing with it, but I can't hold the instruments? and how can the other NPCs dance but I can't? I understand that you guys made this game mostly for console and had to make sure it could all fit on that crappy xkill 3 crappy dvd disc but don't tease us! at least make a menu for misc emotions / activities for those that go AFK, like dancing or playing a flute.
I NEED TO SAY THIS KINDA OFF TOPIC FOR A MOMENT, TODD HOWARD, BETHESDA, PLEASE DO NOT MIX YOUR PRODUCTS TOO MUCH, I like the slow motion kill cams in Skyrim (a fallout idea), that is cool! and maybe think about having slow motion kill cams added for archers when they kill from long distances... BUT DONT ADD ALL OF FALLOUTS IDEAS, I like fallout, but the elderscrolls series is its own title... SO PLEASE DON'T MIX. The only thing I enjoyed is the kill cam but the perk idea........... NO GOOD
Okay back to Skyrim, you guys broke Vampires.... HA I hate to say this, I'm not one of those twilight kids, but in Oblivion I have my character, the character I've always been, a Dark Elf "Dunmer" and I made a vampire that was immune to fire damage and so when in the sun he wouldn't get hurt, but in Skyrim no matter what, even if I have a resistance, no matter what when I am in the sun I am weakened........ BOOO and I just don't have to same kick like in Oblivion, maybe I was just too spoiled with how OP my character was as a vampire

plus the entire wolf curing vampirisum kinda svcks (I read about this being how my companion quest line broke) I kinda wanted to become a vampire-wolf guy, when I get too pissed I turn into a wolf type deal... BUT I GUESS THAT WAS A DREAM EH?! because in skyrim apparently wolfs are cooler than vampires.
the whole enchantment thing, I wasn't able to get to into it like I wanted... BUT it seems I can't make custom power levels like we use to be able to. All we can do is use the stuff we learn and judging by how powerful the soul stone is, is how powerful the item is... BUT I want a toothpick to be able to do 99999 lightning damage, OKAY?! is that so hard to ask :b
All in all the story-line is MOSTLY good, I don't think anyone noticed that Alduin is the reason you have the powers... in the beginning the dragon shouts at you, the same shout he shouts when awakening the other dragons.... BUT I NOTICED
the Blades quest was a little out there... it seems like a few of the guilds one can join, lost their ways in how things get done and what they stood for... like with the dark brotherhood yes I understand there wasn't a Listener for them, but I kinda got the feeling that, the leader Astrid was just using the dark brotherhood name to kill people and then when the night mother came around the leader realized it wasn't a joke and that these people are real... plus some of the quests were short, and again I'm sure it is because you had to fit it all on 1 disc... and when I killed the emperor the blades were NO WHERE IN SIGHT...........
Really the game is good, maybe work on the small details like the night sky with real star Hi def photos and that mod for the map zoom-in idea would be a great idea for console users.... PLUS THE WATER... everyone and their mother knows how to code really good looking water now, except you guys! WHY?! I mean, it's not bad but... the amount of lag it adds, plus it doesnt even do it's job fully when it comes to reflection...
those are small details I mean
This game has a lot going on for it and it can be so much better than it already is!

There is more to be said of course but I feel I got a chunk of what I had to say, said, and I hope you are reading this!!! I saw in one of your reviews you read what customers say so, I think I'll also rewrite what I posted on these forums and add a little more then send a copy by mail to you so maybe you have a better chance seeing this!!!
EITHER WAY dont let anyone change your ideas with this game and please no don't mix too much more of your products together, fallout is fallout and the elderscrolls series is the elderscrolls series... YES IT MIGHT BE CHEAPER WITH CODING, but in doing the math with steam alone if say if you sold yer product for $35, on the first day on steam roughly 250,000 players where playing the game on steam alone so $35 x 250,000 = $8,750,000 profit, I think you can keep your products separate enough to get the job done.
