I just realized: No enchanted arrows.

Somebody mentioned that they heard arrows were supposed to be rarer in Skyrim. I haven't had any trouble keeping an inventory of hundreds (thousands) of arrows, though I do have to buy the better ones. But it got me thinking about arrows....and scarcity... And I suddenly realized:

There are no enchanted arrows.

Or if there are, they are so incredibly rare that an adventurer will go his entire career and only find one. I hope this is because Bethesda didn't feel like adding any, and that it's still possible to have enchanted arrows, once we get the tools. Though even if that be true, why would they not add any shiny ammo...

They also didn't add fletching.

Mods will fix it, I'm sure. If you can craft your own staff, there's no reason to have a bow-based magic delivery system, although poison already makes that redundant.

Besides the posible lack of enchanted arrows, your marksman bonus are added only to the bow and you can't use smithing on arrows either. Despite what you do arrow damage is a constant in this game.

No, as far as know, there are no enchanted arrows--archery is powerful enough without that, anyway.

What gripe I have is this, though: whatever happened to being able to sabotage a wood mill and affect the game's economy? If it's part of a quest or simply CAN happen, please DO NOT spoil it for me. And secondly, can we not craft arrows? I've got 100 smithing on the light armor side and even got the bonus ability to forge Dragr weapons and armor at Skyforge, but never a single arrow.

There already is a fletching mod

Now that you mention it, there indeed aren't. They weren't common in Oblivion, but seem to be completely missing in Skyrim. Are there still elemental damage poisons available trough alchemy BTW?

Since when can you craft staves?

They probably kept arrows simple so you can't just stack so many different forms of damage and decided to have archery damage "managed" through the bow...

which incidentally can be double-enchanted.

Shoulda been able to fletch them, but I don't think enchanting them would be necessary.

ya i skipped out on the arrow mod simply because believe it or not if you eliminate all the busy work from the game i think you loose something ( some will think i am crazy probably) anyway , ya i sorta make my rounds of a few blacksmiths and two fletchers and i have not had a problem keeping stock or arrows, there is a fletcher in whiterun, and solitude, and i am sure a few more i just have not come across them.

But ya i have been saving up on glass arrows etc. for awhile and i only use them on really tough enemies etc.
