Setactoralpha & object references

Can this function be used on object references? barrels, chests, etc?

Not that I have ever seen. Its for actors only.

I faked it by making several versions of the object that had different transparancies applied directly to the object. Then I enabled and disabled the various ones to simulate a fade.

no, saa only works on NPCs and creatures.
