I cannot find fathis aren anywhere, ive followed his schedule, looking in his room in bravil castle, looked in mages guild, around town, in his secret passage way, but i cant get into his tower with out the key of course, but i cnat find fathis, therefore i have no key and cannot complete arrow of extrication quest. playing on 360

You can get into his tower through the secret passageway from his room. He should be in the upper levels of the tower.

i know about the secret passage way, but there is a heavy wooden door down there that needs a key to open. where the conjurer was hanging out and the little shrine thing was.

There's an underwater passage around that door.

Yer, go to the bit with the water, dive down but not too far down and you should find a little side passage. Got VERY stuck at that point too

In the water just below the shelves, on the north side I think.

You're not talking about the passage to niben bay are you? If not I missed it. I'll check.
