Sick of Opening Steam : V

Hi folks, just a quick question.

I am getting sick of having to open up Steam to play the game. Are there start icons hidden somewhere that I can paste on to my desktop that I can open up the game directly? Thanks!

Yes. Program Filesx86/steam/steamapps/common/skyrim right click the skyrimlauncher.exe, select create shortcut. Move the shortcut to your desktop.

Or

Open the Steam Library, right click skyrim, select create desktop shortcut

Steam will still have to be running.

I have a desktop icon from the game and I play with Steam offline. There's an option at the top left on the Steam page to say play offline. Each time I click on the Skyrim desktop icon, it asks me Go Online or Play Offline.

It will run without Steam running.

I've never run any game in Steam without it starting Steam, unless Steam was already running.

Why are you arguing? The shortcut inside the Steam client simply directs to SkyrimLauncher.exe, the launcher, not TESV.exe, the game.

To launch with steam loading into the background try this: in Steam, right click the game launcher and select "Create Desktop Shortcut.
This will create a launcher direct into the game with the game having Steam features enableed, like achievements, however steam loads minimized.

Who's arguing? I said I've never run a game without Steam running..That isn't an argument, it's an observation.

If you know a way to launch Steam games without Steam running, I'd love to hear of it.
