Hello,

my ghoul troopers, as well as all standard ghoul bodys (not the ferals) seem to be missing a texture of some kind which I am unable to identify. It's not the weapons, armor or anything else they carry. Also, the texture of the bodies as such seems coherent. No missing limbs, heads or whatever bodyparts. However, wherever there's a ghoul, a red exclamation mark is floating, and I am unable to find out why or nail the mod down. Anyone has an idea which texture is amiss and where I would find an appropriate replacement - or at least which mod might be the culprit?

Installed any texture replacers, like Beware of Girl or koldorn's Ghoul retex? Enabled ArchiveInvalidation correctly? Tried disabling the most recent mods you added since this problem started occuring - maybe the Monsters Mod? (Don't really recognise anything else in the list that might cause such a conflict...)

If I had to hazard a guess, you might be missing a mesh file (rather than a texture) or the default one is not being invalidated.

I had this happen to Violet's dogs. Every one showed up as an exclamation mark. It turned out to be a conflict in a mod that had nothing to do with textures (or meshes).

Try loading everything up in FNVEDIT and then looking at the ghoul entry (entries?) from the base master (Fallout.esm).

All the mods that modify it in some way will show up and you should be able to track down the problem.

Disclaimer: reckless behavior in FNVEDIT is on you, not me.

The red exclamation point means the game can't find the mesh; it's not a texture issue. I'm not certain since I don't use them, but if I had to guess I'd look for conflicts between "Mikoto Beauty" and "Body By Race", being mods that alter the NPCs.
