So I enchanted my Orcish Warhammer with Flame and renamed it "Flame Warden", now a few days later I've found a Dwarven Warhammer and decided to retire Flame Warden to the weapon shelf in my house and put the enchant on my new Dwarven Warhammer, which I did, but I was not able to rename the Dwarven hammer.

What's the deal with that? Is it a glitch? Are you unable to rename certain items? I don't get it... I tried every combination of adding enchant/weapon/stone and still nothing.

This fell to the second page really fast...

It was just a regular dwarven hammer? Odd, I've renamed practically everything I own no problems.

Yeah just a plain Dwarven Warhammer. I bought it from the Drunken Huntsman. I'm guessing it's a glitch... I tried reloading twice though and still was unable to find the naming option. :confused:

No I was throwing a few names around in my head for it, wasn't going to give it the same name, but the option to name the weapon didn't even come up. Perhaps it's a glitch involving having more than one named weapon? Though that would be weird because Flame Warden was in my house on the rack.

This wouldn't be the problem. I have 8 different things in my chest called 'Smithing Gear'.

Anyway, TC, there is a glitch that doesn't allow you to name things, although I fix it by just exiting out and reentering.

I'm pissed you cant enchant silver swords.

The silver is an "enchantment" according to the game engine. It's how it deals the extra damage.

Also, OP, make sure you've selected the item, an enchantment, and a soul gem first, otherwise you don't get the option to rename something. You have to pick all three before the rename option appears.

Yeah, thats lame. Found out the hard way by losing a grand soul gem, lol.

Hmm thanks for the replies... I've got the feeling that it was a glitch, hopefully not a recurring one though.

It's most likely recurring. The game seems to not know how to differentiate between two of the same item being on your favorites.
