What things DO you miss from past elder scrolls

Came here to say exactly what you said... Spellcrafting and levitation

i bet we're not the only ones either.
doubt they're going to have levitation in an ES game ever again, but modders can probably do something about the spellcrafting.

i also miss the UI of oblivion :|

I miss packing my horse and cart on my back and climbing over the city walls because they locked the gates at night! I miss riding my horse through the trees in the middle of the ocean. I miss waiting five minutes to hit ALT+F11 after falling through the back wall of my ship and then having my hp rocket to 32000. I also miss the guy inviting me into his living room while pooping in a bucket and reading a book.

ROFL! You win the thread Aliotroph?

I miss seeing a cliff racer so far away on the horizon... soooo far away that if you turn a bit it disappears in the fog and then take careful aim and fire an arrow at it and crash the game.

I'll say armor and weapon degradation, but have it where you don't need to use the repair skill nearly as much.

Daedric ruins were fun.

The only thing I dearly and truly miss is levitation.

That whole notion about it not working in modern games is total [censored]. It would work; just not with the way Bethesda does level design anymore.

I wish they also added different race kids, like little orcs and dark elves.

Pretty much everything from Morrowind but with a more streamlined leveling system. They took minimalist design to an extreme in Skyrim.

i really liked levitation & the ability to craft your own spells

Sadly, with the cities being their own zones levitation wouldn't work. :(

I miss spellcrafting too, but understand why it had to go. No point having rewards or quests where you hunt out unique spells if you can just whip up anything you want yourself.

I miss having the pants and torso separate on Armor and cloths.

Oh, lord - yes. And pauldrons :tops:
And I miss that the beast creatures had different body-shapes and might not be able to wear all parts of the armour.

I'll say armor and weapon degradation, but have it where you don't need to use the repair skill nearly as much.

I would like to have see degradation in at a much, much, MUCH reduced rate. With smithing it would be easier to deal with.
