Why Magic combat is AWSEOME!

I'd like to say that for that matter, I not only vote that magic is not balanced, but that basically none of the skills are really balanced. Speech does far too little in the game, Stealth is laughably all-powerful at top ranks, and the crafting skills just blow any semblance of balance straight out of the water. Even just plain smithing alone makes any martial character straight-up deal twice as much damage and also puts their armor ratings up to cap nearly instantly.

You pretty much have to go a great deal out of your way to try to keep anything remotely like balance in the game if you have been playing long enough.

I don't know if you know this or not, but different types of arrows have different damage modifiers. Iron and steel arrows are amongst the weakest arrows. But I can say that bears are the biggest damage sponges in the game.

Yeah, I know about the first part.
Right now I'm using glass arrows AND equipment enchanted with around +60% bow damage total on top of the perks.

Bears seem to just not want to die.
Mudcrabs, too, sometimes soak up an inhumane amount of damage. I remember one time a dragon spent like 5~7 minutes chasing after a single mudcrab. By the time I finished killing the dragon the mudcrab was still alive. And yes I'm positive it was the same mudcrab

I don't really play magika based characters very often, but it sure looks cooler in this game and I'm happy to see some people NOT complaining about it!

This, but I'm finding the http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=611 mod combined with the augment increase from http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=382 make everything much better. And a lot more 'splodey.

...doesn't help the consolers much though. :sadvaultboy:

Running the same combo here!
