Alchoholism Gameplay In TES:V:SR.

Post » Tue Sep 29, 2009 6:46 am

I dont think the OP meant alcoholism, which is an addiction / condition, but drunkenness, as someone said. And I'd see it pretty fitting to the game environment.

This would allow as someone mentioned, a clean assassination technique, where the target would be incited to have his behaviour prone to dangerous confrontations.

I'd personally like to have gorgeous women in lingerie, thong and high-heels serving the mead. "Can I get you anything else?" Yeah, after all that liquor..... (I know, not gonna happen).

+1 :foodndrink:

I'd love to actually be able to get my character drunk. And while drunk it makes you walk funny and opens drunken speech options when talking to npc's.

Maybe there would be something to help with you'r tolerance to it too so you wouldn't pass out from drinking too much in drinking games.

We need bar fights. Nothing says norse meadhall like a proper bar fight. :D
But that means one thing has to change: When you start a fight in OB, you either end up killing or yielding. Never seems to happen that the other guy yields, and only seldom do the opponent run away. Maybe h2h combat ending up with more unconsciousness than death in Skyrim ?

While at heart the sentiment of having a mini-game or option to actually get drunk. The ultimate excuse for a pub brawl might not be the best thing. After all if the guards are like those in oblivion they will be on you like a homing missile 'Stop!, Halt!' and you will be in the clink quicker than you can say 'He done it'

Should be logical. Perhaps there should be damage thresholds. Exceeding the first one knocks one unconscious, second one means injuries leading to death.

I always that it was strange that (besides potions) the only thing on Tamriel to drink was alcohol yet you couldn't get drunk. I liked getting drunk in GTA IV and RDR cause it was extremely fun to have contests with my friends to see who could go the farthest without stumbling over or drive the longest without wrecking.
Plus you can't deny the fact that getting drunk in mead halls is part of Nord culture. So, I vote YES. We should certainly be able to get drunk and have bar fights.
(That don't always lead to death)

Yeah I too think you should get drunk if you drink too much mead, wine, ale ect but I don't think I'd be that bothered if it wasn't in. Kinda like a thing that if they've got a little spare time then all means pop being drunk in the game.
