Build a MMORPG!

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 12:49 pm

Bethesda did a great job with the evolution of fallout but lets take it to the next step with Massive Multiplayer RPG
Similar to the DDO set up for loot and quest access either through town or rally points in wilderness areas but keeping the first person shooter action along with team mates to run quests at certain levels
Random and set loot from certain Quest chests/crates with end bosses to defeatto gain access to the reward. (keeping peoples loot personalized with option to share in cabinet/chest or trade screen)
create the other with craftable upgrades to items both weapons and armor (must add more variety to make game appealing)
The essential People vs people arenas
Class variety- computer hacker, gun slingers, medic, mechanic

SHARE YOUR IDEAS!

LETS MAKE THIS A PRIORITY!

Welcome to the Forums!

I'm not sure what to think of this. It seems like this thread could work as it doesn't talk about the thing...

Anyways I don't care as I wouldn't get it.

We're not supposed to discuss that here.... Other fallout sites will explain why.

Welcome to the forums!

There was/is an MMO in development by Interplay (the original creators of Fallout, Bethesda purchased the series from them) but we are not allowed to discuss it due to an ongoing legal despute with Bethesda and Interplay.

From what i read Interplay is bankrupt and i highly doubt they could do as good of a job that Bethesda has done with fallout

The guy never mentioned anything about Interplay, and I don't think he knows. But I don't know how the moderators would feel about saying this is a what if scenario.

Bethesda owns fallout's label so why wouldnt they be able to just do an MMO. And regardless of a legal battle over fallout creations it isnt something that should cause censorship of fans from talkign about it just the employees sensitive to the case

When Bethesda purchased the Fallout IP from Interplay the licensed back the MMO rights. For the past several years there has been a legal dispute over this, and we do not allow threads about ongoing legal disputes.

If you wish to discuss other multiplayer options please use the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1112031-fallout-multiplayer-discussion-thread/. Please read the OP before posting, it has important ground rules.
