which mean you shoot down everything that get's on the forums

This is what a forum is about... to debate the merits of an idea such as yours... and that means you're going to get posts that are against it... Heck you even give an against option in your poll.

As others said you need to give us reasons for thinking its a good idea if you want support...

Its a radioactive idea because it poisoned my heart.
It won't work, they are enemies in F2 and F3 so I don't see any kiss and make up scenarios, not since Lyon's BoS is taking in wasterlanders too :shakehead:

Unless it's Styles idea, which I very much support, it couldn't work. As other's have pointed out. Enclave wants only pure humans, and the rest should die. The Brotherhood are not pure humans. Also, the Enclave are the remnants of the pre-war government and the Brotherhood are the remnants of deserters of the US Army. So if the Enclave would know that, and can't let go of an old grudge, then they would be executed like deserters (not like that would matter, because they have loads of other reasons to kill them). Another thing, the Brotherhood has only ever opposed the Enclave. The Brotherhood just want to be neutral from everyone else, they don't want to get involved with people's conflicts unless it threatens themselves or they gain high-tech from it. They just want to keep to themselves, not really caring about or trusting others, and gather as much high tech they can (and taking it away from people because they could use it wrong, like, making war again). The Enclave, on the other hand, does not want to be neutral. They want to get rid of everything that is impure (wastelanders, ghouls, radscorpions - everything that has been effected by radiation) and make room for their own and pure people. That means they are hostile to everyone, and they've also got high tech. High tech that the Broterhood think only they should have, so they could keep it from anyone to use but their own, neutral organization.

Think about this - Brotherhood and Enclave teaming up would kind of be like pre-war USA and China teaming up. Completely different ideologies and they hate eachother. Only difference in this comparison is that their goals differ. USA and China both would like some kind of world dominition (two biggest super powers and they want the last petroleum and uranium) whereas, as I said, the Enclave wants world dominition while the Brotherhood wants to live in bunkers and be neutral... mostly.

Exception here is that I can see Styles idea making sense, and work too. The Brotherhood present in that idea is not the real Brotherhood per se. They are the "Midwestern" Brotherhood and they have changed a lot. Sure, they still have a fetish for high tech and wear the Brotherhood logo with pride, but they are still so much different. Especially after the Barnaky ending, they become a lot more similar to the Enclave minus being pure humans and they are still technologicaly inferior (or well, they do have new robots). The Enclave in his idea are just too weakened and few to be able to go into war again. When they went through Chicaco on their way to D.C. (which I also believe they did) they had just lost thousands of people on the Oil Rig and then maybe half of the personel stayed in Navarro, which got overrun by NCR. Remnants that didn't follow to D.C. but didn't stay at Navarro are people like the ones that we see in New Vegas, and they are hunted by the NCR.
So, the Enclave get to Chicago, have recently been beaten hard, and are now surrounded by a huge force in a mix of leather armour up to power armour and high tech robots. Enclave would recognize their name and logo, but these Brotherhood fellas wouldn't recognize the Enclave, since they never met them.
So, well, what happened is what you can read in Styles post. Brotherhood meet a small, battered force but with high tech they've never seen. They make agreements, Enclave get an outpost in Chicago to leave a few behind and the rest goes on to Raven Rock where they hide for 35 years, building weapons and power armour and vertibirds and tame deathclaws and work on a new virus and you know it all.

I like Styles idea alot, because it would tie up so many loose ends. First, what happened to the Midwestern Brotherhood. Second, the connection between the west and east coast when it comes to the Enclave. Third, their Chicago outpost we heard mention of. Fourth, why the Enclave in Fallout 3 wear power armour that looks very very similar to Midwestern Brotherhood armour. Five, it gives a reason and a good explination to have the Enclave still present for all the Enclave lovers because they cannot ever return in full force again, they are too few, probably just a hundred I guess. Six, it gives a hint as to where all the Enclave fled to after you destroyed them twice in Fallout 3.

Oh, and another thing OP. This is the internet, don't be so easily offended. This is a forum, people post ideas all the time, and people shoot them down all the time, or praise them. Forum means "town square" in Latin (and/or old Greek) and it comes from when people met in the town square, of say Athen or Rome, and discussed their opinions on different matters, and other people around could hear the discussion and join in with their opinion, good or bad. And it all comes down to that everyone have different opinions, so either agree to disagree or keep a civil discussion with good arguments on both sides and not saying people are close minded because they say an idea isn't good. And really, the idea isn't. It wouldn't work, if you know all the details, history, lore, canon, logic and whatever that is behind these two factions. They wouldn't join up, ever. Unless it's like Styles suggest, but they we aren't even talking about the same factions really (the xenophobic brotherhood in west, the "knights in shining armour"-brotherhood in east and the "kill everyone with virus for world dominition"-enclave in both west and east). The two factions we have now are a militaristic dictatorship and a butt-kicked faction that needs to think of a new plan.
