Legion or Stormcloaks?

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 1:55 pm

Alright, so I beat the main quest and I'm ready to do some stuff involving the Civil War. Only problem...I can't choose between either side.

So what faction and why?

For my first playthrough, I'm going with Stormcloaks and the only reasoning is for RP purposes. I'm playing a Nord warrior, whom is an ex-Legion member. He has a distaste for the Legion and is ready for Skyrim to claim its independence. As for my personal tastes...well I leave that a mystery for now ;)

The Imperial Legion is the clear choice of course! /bias

Only through a re-united Empire can the Thalmor wretches be driven back to their pathetic little island. Death to Ulfric and his secessionists!

Imperial Legion

I dont like nords cas they look like random real ppl from street. And Stormcloaks some kind of tamriel nazis.

I also like Imperial Legion cas i like Roman Empire, ancient romans names,Roman architicture etc. Romans was real civilization in dark ages compare to others European barbarian tribes.

Neither. I can't tell what Ulfric wants for his country, he just says freedom. He never says how it should be ruled besides freedom. The people seem poor and oppressed under the Legion, so I'm going with neither.

Neutral, although I'm not sure if that's an option ingame (I'm ignoring MQ, at least for a while, with this character).

The Legion would be my choice mostly due to the Aldmeri Dominion threat looming on the horizon.

Playing an Argonian, telling me about how you'd be better off without me is not the best way to win me to your side. I'll be joining the Legion.

So, it's better to beat the main storyline before starting the Legion/Stormcloaks quests, or it's better to start the main after you finish with the civil war?

The Legion, I escaped with the Stormcloak guy in the beginning and was sure I would never side with the empire but then I visited Ulfric and listened to him and the nords and it rubbed me the wrong way. So I didn't want to join them either and instead ignored the civil-war and didn't care about either side. while playing and reading some books and talking with npc I started to feel better towards the empire and in the end I joined them and still think it was the right decision.

Long Live The Empire!! :celebration:

Does either faction have some dungeons that you can not enter without being in them? If so, I will choose that faction. I do not care if Stormcloaks are little racists or if legion tried to kill me. Only thing that matters are the treasures. If I can get few more shouts by killing stormcloaks / legion, so be it.

No real difference there. I suppose it comes down to if you want to attack Windhelm or Solitude.
