Guess I'm an "Oblivion Guy"

People will always nitpick to disagree on a person's favored game.

And that's all it is.

Sometimes I wonder if it doesn't all come down to a certain amount of elitism in a genre where it isn't required to have it because of how broad and malleable it is.

Just my opinion, but I think it's the perfectly natural human tendency to think the intensity of our own personal experiences means we're completely correct, and that anybody else who differs from us just doesn't grasp reality.

Like someone stated earlier. I love Morrowind, but am not a morrowind guy. I am a TES guy, I love the lore, races and people of Tamriel. I have Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim installed on my pc; and enjoy them equally. They each bring a unique experience, whether it's killing cliff racers or dragons.

I'm a medieval fantasy RPG player. Right now, Oblivion is doing a stellar job for me. :foodndrink:

I tried Morrowind once, but the first worm I encountered killed me.

I tried Daggerfall last year, and was killed by the first rat I encountered! I could not figure out how to look down to shoot it with my bow. Needless to say, that was all I have played of Daggerfall. Though someday I might give it a try again.

I'm an Oblivion guy too. I bought the 360 for Oblivion. It blew me away. I can still hear the music in my head. I live there still.

I'm a Daggerfall guy. Which I'm glad. That was my gate way drug to the rest of this awesome series.

I remember sneaking on my parents computer so I could be teleported to that magical land and going to school humming the hauntingly beautiful tunes from Daggerfall.

I played Morrowind when it came out & loved it, logging 100's of hours.

When Oblivion came out I was skeptical that it could be anywhere near as good. It exceeded my expectations & is now my favorite game of all time logging a good 700 hours on one character.

When Skyrim came out I was once again skeptical that it could be as good & spent the entire year being sooooo excited...and I'm crushed :( it has let me down so extremely.

So, like the OP, I'm an Oblivion guy through & through. Always will be.

I'm still playing Skyrim & so desparately trying to like it but I too miss Cyrodiil.

I'm the "Shivering Isle" guy :/. No matter how much time I spend on Skyrim, I always end up putting on my beloved Oblivion Disk just to walk around the beauty on the Isles.

No, they don't grasp fantasy. We're talking about games here, aren't we?
