What's your favorite combat style?

I'm more of a battlemage, but magic is my primary combat style -- I find it is so much more powerful than melee, and less dangerous. Though, I'm not afraid to draw my sword and get up close and personal.

Ive aways enjoyed the raggdoll physics of an unaware enemy being sniped with my bow. Its a good feeling of satisfaction.

Melee comes next because I feel i put alot of effort into killing that beast.

Magic last, i dont use destruction alot just conjuration and a mix of illusion/mysticism. Conjuration is so wonderful for distractions.

I run in screaming, swinging a longsword.

If necessary I run away whining.

At higher levels I blow people and critters up with fireballs.

(edit)

I've recently started over with a new player / custom class, and Marksman will be more important than it was with previous characters.

So; add "sticking pointy sticks in things heads from a distance" to the list.

I love using magic as a weapon, there's thousands of different spells, so you don't ever have to do the same spell.

On my main (a Nightblade) I use a combination of magic and melee, but I went with marksman; because that is usually what I use with my alts (which are usually stealthy).

How are bows glitchy?

I'm constantly having arrows pass harmlessly through mobs, typically wolves and bears. I'm not talking about shots from a million miles away where you could have just aimed slightly off and legitimately missed, either. I'm talking about being close enough to see the arrow actually sail right through the body as if they were somehow incorporeal. Most annoying. Marksman is still my attack of choice despite this.

Voted melee, but really I like them all. Magic is more powerful and so much fun tinkering with, coming up with new combos and su(t)ch :) And I like to shoot so marksman too.
But melee is actually the most fun. Parry with the shield and counter-attack. Nothing as satisfying as blocking a blow and follow up with one of your own and watch them fly away

Wow, that svcks! And I realize you're not just talking about sailing iron arrows from iron bows through ghosts - that would be normal, but bears and wolves? Ugh! I must say, I haven't seen this on PC with UOP though. And we'd remember it well. If a charging bear ignored Buffy's arrow, she would definitely wet herself as she scrambled to go invisible or command him. :P

I favor Battlemages (best class ever IMO), so it's melee + magic for me.

Melee + Magic

Basically just spam weakness to magic and electrocution and they drop like flies...
