where do u get the dremora lord summon? I'm already having problems with my destruction mage and I'm only lvl 16..it seems the higher I lvl up the less effect my destruction spells have and I put most of my points into destruction perks

I had no problem in northwatch keep with my battle axe wielding nord, lopping thalmor heads off with ease, yet my high elf mage had a hard time even when dual casting spells

you need a conjuration of skill of about 60-65 and then you buy it from the conjurer in the college of winterhold... your a bit under leveled for that

and to the ugy that said fireballs you win... i wish it were true since my fireballs tickle bosses, but my dremora takes about 1/4 of their health away with one swing

i might just start allocating points into conjuration and start using the conjured bow for range instead... who knows lol

Yeah, I'm afraid to even level up because I love being able to one shot everything with my fireballs...

I would say this is a fairly well known issue.

Destruction magic doesn't get stronger with level. After you get the elemental perk damage bonuses your damage maxes out, but enemy hit-points continue to rise with level.

You could use alchemy potions to inflict Weakness to on your target, or boost your own damage with Fortify Destruction, although if you are primarily using Destruction this would be fairly cumbersome to always have and use potions just to inflict spell damage.

For PC you could also pick up a mod that alters the damage perk bonuses to 40%/80% at TES Nexus. I plan to install it once I hit around level 30 to move from the 50% bonus to 80% so I can continue to use Destruction.

Once the creation kit is released I'm sure a PC mod will be released which scales damage to your destruction level. I'd also say it is more likely than not that something will be done about this in a patch however, it really strikes me as an oversight when compared to the way other skills scale.

Have you read the in game book that is a reply to another mage criticizing destruction magic? That basically says you need to be clever if you're going to be a destruction mage. Is it possible that they "underpowered" destruction so you would be forced to figure out creative destruction combinations to kill stuff? Has anyone tried fire on something they've used freeze on or anything similar? I know other games that use elemental combos for extra damage.
