I just wanna get married...

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 11:40 pm

When i get to the Temple of Mara in Riften the priest to talk to who activates the possibility to get married isn't there. I've waited and traveled all over Skyrim to come back not having him there. What to do? Has anyone experienced this bug or is it something else that I've missed. I've made a new character and with the last one it worked just fine but I can't seem to find him... Help anyone? I need a strong man to aid me in battles, cook me a nice dinner and to love me in need... :P

He is in the Bee and Burb inn, or whatever it's called. After you buy an amulet of mara, he'll more to the temple.

You can't just simply walk up to someone and suddenly they'll instantly want to marry you for wearing an amulet, you have to make them like you first.

The only Amulet of Mara that will imitate the dialog needed for Marriage is the one you buy from Marmal. He's in Riften's Inn to begin with and only later in the Temple. Looted Amulets of Mara will not allow you to get married. Hope this helps :)

Fear not, the Kyne is always with you.
Unless you're not a Nord. Then you're screwed.

Good luck anyway!

I had one that I found, it worked. I think only certain npc's will marry.

Unfortunantly I've encounterd a new problem. I didn't buy the amulet during the first meet-up with the priest and now the dialog is not even allowing me to see what he sells. :/ Any clues about how I should retrieve the "accurate" amulet for my needs..?

If you already have one it will work. You're probably just trying to marry an npc that can't be married.
Assuming that you already talked to the priest about marriage.
