Does blocking with a shield inflict on the damage by a magic

Been wondering if I should raise my shield against a dragon attack and If it will actually make a difference...? And with other magic attacks to of course...

Block perk later on will negate a percentage of fire and ice attacks

Ranged dragon attack no.

Mage elemental attacks YES.. atleast if you unlocked it in the shield perk tree

So normal mages attacks with perk, and dragon I can just stand there and become a kebab without resisting... got it...

LOL..

Yes, pretty much, though i love the cover system now, you can actually hide behind rocks

If the dragon is on the ground you can power block their head to stop the breath attack in mid flow.

Well seeing as there's a unique shield which blocks both physical and magic attacks, I'd say no
