Great PC, But Game Stutters

Post » Wed Sep 30, 2009 2:29 pm

I am getting stuttering while walking around in New Vegas. This did not happen to this extent in Fallout 3.

I have a great PC, its a QX9770 @3.6 w/ dual GTX 295s (set to NON SLI)

I also have dual 10k raptors

and 4 gb of OCd memory

Quite frankly, my system is screaming and it's in great shape, however this stuttering still occurs. What's going on? Thanks.

This works perfectly, it basically puts performance on par with fallout 3. Strange this file wasn't included in the directory, surely they will be patching this.

Thanks again.

Since there REALLY didn't end up being a lot of added eye candy after all, the two games SHOULD be comparatively similar in hardware demand; in fact, the work done toward improving dual-core efficiencies should have meant that Fallout NV ought to be running BETTER on high end machines than Fallout 3 does.

Exactly, which is why this performance problem is so outlandish because all the facts are really pointing towards lack of polish/bugs on the PC version.
