[ Req? Maybe... ] "No wonder these kids are so unhappy..

Now, I'm not sure... because I couldn't make a mesh or a texture to save my life...

... but if someone can work up the initiative to create almost EVERY weapon ever constructed during World Wars I & II... how hard would it be for somebody to make some dolls... maybe a few 'playset' type costume/gun combinations... a plastic sword? I mean sure... the war probably blew away MOST of that kind of crap... but certainly SOMETHING must have survived for kids to play with.

Instead, we've got teddy bears and toy cars. Not even a model airplane... or train...

I don't know if anybody would even consider taking up what seems to be such a trivial suggestion. I certainly can't do it myself. But as I work to build this pharmacy for one of my characters... I find the 'toy' shelf, which you typically see full of things for the kids... quite bare. Or should I say, bear.

Maybe someone would like to field this one? For the sake of the kids?

The more I think about it... Fallout 3 could use a good MANY more things... not even JUST for kids to play with. Do you really expect me to believe not a SINGLE deck of cards survived in the Capital Wasteland? Maybe even some chess and checkers pieces, for that board Bethesda so generously supplied?

Hmm...

I'll have to keep thinking on this.

Chucksteel made a lot of toy robots, G.I. Joes, Tonka Trucks, little rockets, some wooly mammoths and other things for his D.C. Interiors project. I always collect them with the intention of filling my shelves with them but I always lose patience after positioning a few. I had a pic with some of the little bots and a Nuka Cola piggy bank in my bedroom but it must be on my external hard drive.

Oh really?

Well, that's certainly a step in the right direction, then!

I'll have to go find those. I'm pretty sure I downloaded D.C. Interiors this time around.

Even a few little odds and ends are better than nothing! Still... I think I'll keep spouting off ideas for things here... just on the off chance some intrepid modder decides that they like something I've said. >.>

Like the checkers and chess pieces. <.< Eh? Eh?

Or some dolls, for that Little Lamplight girl my character has adopted...

Or a deck of cards? Maybe even a few packages of poker chips...?

A pair of dice?

Just some things like that would really help out the world. Hell, a yo-yo... a top... trading cards... all that kind of crap!

Some of it must have survived? I know... how about a Capital Congressmen Bobble-head? You know... baseball and all being so popular!

You can use http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13095 for the chess pieces.

P.S. Are you aware of this mod http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9418?

Both of these are quite wonderful!

I'm definitely going to, at the very least, download them and keep them on file! Thank you for directing me towards them!

I'm not giving up, though! I know somebody out there has the willpower and talent to make some of these things I've described!
