Ok because its so hard to understand...or because some of you(?) dont want to use the thing in your head ;)

You got the point my friend ;)? I hope so, that would be nice :celebration:

Firstly, dont be an ass.

Secondly, things have names.
Boats have names. Countries have names. Cars have names. We don't simply call them by what they are....

Throughout history, weapons have had names too. Excaliber, God's Own Sling, Warwolf, Big Bertha, Fat Man, Little Boy.... Would be really boring if we just called them 'Sword, Trebuchet, Artillery, Bomb', don't you think (you can use that thing in your head, if you want)?

I agree fort he sheer fact that it let's you role-play more. I love being able to name my weapons. It helps me find them quick in the quickswap menu too. Right now I have a glass dagger with 12 pts ice health and stamina damage called Frostbite and a moonlight fire enchanted orchish sword called Orcbreath. Theyre just names but I've definitely but they make my character feel more 'solid' for some reason.

Personalizing weapons by being able to name them would add to roleplay.

In fact, it would be nice if you could personalize your weapons and armor with unique designs. Like make armor with Imperial Legion design, etc.

I agree, you should be able to name smithed created weapons without having to enchant them. Excellent idea. Devs! Sort this out please. And don't say this will ruin the balance of the game. 'oh no, you can enchant weapons, that means anyone who smiths their weapons will be way OP'

[censored]! This is a simple, harmless and a bloody good request. It should be implmiented.

Some hideous excuse for a conversation.

Okay, now imagine this.

NPC: Hey, that's a nice sword. Where did you get it?
Player: My grandfather made it, it's called Stinger. It's been passed down to my father and now to me.
NPC: Nice, the blade looks a bit chipped though.
Player: Yeah, but it has nostalgic value. It reminds me of my family and what I fight for. I've been using it for years, I could hardly imagine myself without it.

See how that might add a little something special to your equipment?

Though I wouldn't expect someone who uses "lol drink less skooma mb? smileyface" as his exiting lines to understand.

It would be great if you could say, at the start menu, choose from a variety of unique looking weapons, choose a name, then during your travels, a courier gives you a note that tells you that someone (a 'friend) knows the location of a lost family (your family) weapon that could help you greatly. And it leads you through a multi dungeon quest that takes you all over skyrim, leaving some kind of cryptic clue to this 'hierloom's' whereabouts. When you finally retrieve it (it's the named weapon you chose in the start menu, named with the name you come up with), you find a note from your 'ancestor' explaining the history behind the weapon, and how it was forged with your family's blood and you get a juicy bonus to whatever skill the weapon falls under.

Thoughts on that??
