It's quite common nowadays to get lost in debates and opinions before even starting a new game...

My first rpg was Final fantasy 7 and I didn't even know what an rpg was... I was learning the game and it was the best game experience I ever had...

Now with steam and the ease of which I can find and download games it is easy to get spoiled...

There are thousands upon thousands of opinions available on any game, and reading reviews and opinions can actually "glitch" your gameplay experience...

For example.

I read A LOT of opinions on witcher 2 before/while playing... And a lot of the times I wasn't really playing the game, I was merely thinking, "oh ok, that's what he meant with interface" or, "ah, that person was right, this is hard"...

I let witcher 2 rest for a while and I will play it again when all my obsession with this and that about the game has faded away...

Today I bought Skyrim and I just wanted to share an idea to not read any more opinions, pro's and con's, from other people...

I will just take the game for what it is, because more I cannot do...
It is really an insult to complain and complain while I have a job, food, water and clothing in real life...

I had more to say about it, but that's basically it... I'm not trying to flamebait...

I just want to inspire myself and maybe others to forget about people their opinions and reviews and just play the game...

To many forum opinions can really screw the gameplay more than the most serious bug...
And take away immersion...

Of course forums are needed, but immersion is also needed... Enjoy!

I agree with everything you said. I miss the days when games were pure and I didn't even know what a 'forum' was (Star Fox 64, Ocarina of Time, etc) where you would just play the game and get lost in it. You decide for yourself what you think instead of judging how hard it should be to kill a dragon or raging every time your framerate stutters.

Agreed. I only came here to get some answers on some things not clear in the manual.
