Here's my house. Come in, relax! Read a book or cook somethi

Does it bother anyone else when you take a follower into your nice little house, and they STAND BEHIND YOU THE ENTIRE TIME. Oh, did I mention they are wearing full armor and helmet? Nothing is nicer than waking up, and the first thing that you see is some person in massive dwarven armor and that creepy dwarven helmet-face. :o

Even when it's your housecarl, WITH HER OWN ROOM?? :banghead:

It's my house, my rules. Take off your stupid helmet in my house, and get off my back! Go sit down or something.

Yes I know I can take the helmet away, but Lydia's snide, sarcastic little comment "I'm sworn to carry your burdens :verymad: " irks me every time. I want to knock her out for saying that, even when I'm taking things from her.

So, is it possible to mod the AI in your house, so followers go into "house" mode and sleep or eat or whatever? And take off their armor? Then when you exit they appear next to you, ready to go? Is that impossible? :brokencomputer:

Tell them you want them to do something and then have them sit down? Problem solved. Companions don't like to think for themselves.

Ehi you can't blame her for "taking care" of you, you never know you could fall off your bed or soak the blankets!

Not true. I told her to stay at the house, and she appeared at the collage.

Close the door to your room, and tell her to wait, she will not open the door to your room.

I told her to wait in the house. I did not want her to follow me. So after a couple of hours by myself she shows up as I start one of the final quest for the collage. Turns out it was a good thing she came along. I was able to sacrifice her so I may live. Not a spoiler just gave me a chance to get my health backup. Although I kind of miss her now. She helped provide distraction.

Yep, that's why I killed her and changed the locks. Also, the uber-shallow marriage system really discourages me from doing it even though for a nord macho hulk-type having a woman cook for him and provide "sleeping bonuses" (nudge nudge wink wink) is probably a dream come true.

A little off topic, but since were talking about houses...
I took all the plates forks spoons bowls etc in my house, and replaced them(very painstakingly) with dwemer counterparts from a ruin. I got everything looking nice and organised. I left my house and came back a day or two later, and everything has shot around my house as of someone fus ro dah'd my living room. I tried to return everythig to its original position, but as soon as I leave and cone back again, my house turns in to a ransacked mess.

Anybody rose have this issue?

There's two mods for FNV I hope get ported over, one for Companion "sandbox mode"(tell them to wait and they'll wander about the house instead of just standing there) and one that unlocks their armor so they'll wear whatever you give them. Doesn't help the consolers though.

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Havok, where the kinetic energy from a single speck of dust multiplies until it hits your decorations like an oncoming train.

I had to ask Lydia to follow and leave her at her room with closed door. I want to sleep in peace.

Lydia is really annoying. She just sits in my chair eating bread all day, sometimes she'll stand up, turn around and then sit straight back down again. Stupid woman.

Better than in Oblivion where guards would follow me into my house, I'd pay the bounty/take off the mask, and they'd go sleep IN MY BED. (I had all my swords, staves, and stuff on top of it.) No regard for me of my things.

I think if you leave them over some period of time, they go back to their "duties". In this case, a housecarl would go back to.. "carling" your house, I guess. They do go outside, for unknown reasons.

It would be nice if they restocked my food or cooked some meals while I'm out. Or clean up the place at least :P

I ended up killing her in a quest. So now I can sleep in piece without waking up to her standing there staring at me.

The followers will already wear the armor, but it has to be better then theirs. Unfortunately you can't see the stats, so it's a hit and miss... I just drop things into their trade window until they put it on.
But for weapons, I have noticed that they don't always immediately equip a weapon. At first I thought it wasn't better than what they currently had, but then I see them switching between weapons frequently in combat.

I've seen Lydia fight with a greatsword for hours, then suddenly a shield. I didn't give her the shield and one-handed weapon, so for some reason the AI decided the default sword/shield was better than the enchanted dwarven greatsword she's been using all this time.

She also switches between the weapons you give her sometimes.

I was trying to sneak by some guards once, and one sat down at the table, and all the stuff on the table flew up in the air and started clanking around. Made me crap my pants. The object mechanics are a little on the sensitive side. If you're leaving Lydia in the house, she's walking around and bumping into stuff.

Dang. I just had an idea. A maid mod. Hmm, is that possible?

well I'm guessing you just dont wake up on your own, you've probably told lydia to wake you up in 8 hours, and then forgot about it when you woke up.
