Enemy level?

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 12:17 am

Maybe this is a silly question, but is there a way to tell the level of the enemy/creature you are fighting? There have been several times I have gotten owned (big time) by obviously a higher level enemy, but I had no way of knowing. Am I missing something here?

If you are on PC isn't there a console command to find his out? Like typing in "getavinfo level"? Or was that just in Fallout 3 and NV?

Learn from experience?

Enemies such as bandits, regular draugr, skeletons, frost spiders, and wolves are generally really easy.

Bears, trolls, draugr deathlords, dragons, and falmer are quite easy too, but are very capable of killing you if you're not careful.

Dragon priests, draugr overlords, elder dragons, ancient dragons, and giants are a bit more tricky.

I understand with experience you may figure out what lvl range an enemy might be, but it appears you'll never truely know it's level.
