Steam updating PC Version

It allows the game to use more than 2gb memory, playing for long periods caused the game to crash at random - that memory patch fixed that.

What? WHAT?!? I have 8gb of ram and the game only uses 2gb?!? :swear: And the new patch doesn't allow to use it anymore? Any workarounds?

This has nothing to do with the patch that's being release a week after Thanksgiving.

Next step, Valve: get an EXE file that has been distributed to millions of computers worldwide out of the internet.
Good luck!

If you guys will notice, the entire point of this patch today was to re-route TESV.exe to the Skyrim Launcher which is directly tied to Steam. Before this patch, when I was testing mods, I would use TESV.exe to quickly launch the game directly without having to use the Skyrim Launcher. Now, I cannot. It redirects back to it, which causes it to wait for Steam.

Its DRM related.

Yes. It screws up LAA mods to the exe file. Thats a by-product in my opinion. The entire point was to force people to use Steam if your online. In offline mode, it doesnt matter. Still does the same thing, but you dont have to wait on Steam regardless.
