What God to worship

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 12:51 am

Hey guys!

I'm creating my main character and need help with his divine workship. My character is a Nord Paladin/Crusader named Benedikt den Utvalde ( which means the "chosen one") Ive read that the nordic equivalent of Akatosh is Alduin in Skyrim and that he will soon reappear to eat the world( main plot). Now.. does it make sens if my holy crusader have faith in the nordic version of Lorkhan (Shor) giving him his spiritual, physical and mental forces? In brief I need to find a god in which my character has faith as a Nord and as Paladin (else what the point of making a paladin) to fight against Alduin and his army. any idea?

thanks!!

I'd actually say Talos/Ysmir, but then, I would say that.

I would agree with you.
Maybe Shor and Ysmir.

It's just that if he's going Paladin, I think Ysmir is the better aspect. He's a more refined god-of-man for a more refined warrior; Shor is for berserkers.

I would say Shor myself, but then, that depends. Are you going to go nuts and tear apart all nonhumans you find? If not, then go with the Ysmir idea. If yes, then go Shor, go nuts.

Shor or Talos/Ysmir, for sure.

Shor does not do that. Pelinal did, but Shor made Dagoth Ur his general and allied with orcs.

Pelinal-Shezzarine-ek-setra. If you wanna go hardcoe, I'm just cooking up the violent RP options that fit smoothly into a mainline Nordic religion, especially now that the Thalmor is openly in power in the South. Just tossing ideas out.

Only problem is talos worship is illegal so there won't be a lot of shrines and stuff though I'm not sure weather the ban includes Ysmir.

I foresee Hellmouth showing up proclaiming the name of "Shor."

In Imperial territory, sure. But I'm certain that Talos-worship has become a symbol of defiance in Stormcloak territory.

I really hope they use the word "Ysmir" for Talos.

Ebonarm is always good though I am not too sure if he has any positive affiliation with the Nords. Though the Nords might be angry that he took the God of Luck Sai away from them at the height of their power, because Sai made the Nords too lucky during the time of the Nordic Empire...

Seriously wouldn't that be a cool racial ability? Some kind of minimally increased chance to critical hit and auto-pick locks, blah blah blah and all that because Nords have residual energies of the God of Luck on them? Hehe probably too OP though.
