Will we ever know the full story between Lord of Souls and Skyrim? Will books in Skyrim fill in the missing gap? Who became Emperor after Titus Mede? Was it Attrebus and if so how long did he rule and is the Mede line still rulling?

What else could all the books in TES V be about?

They could just contain Skyrim specific information and not much of the empire as a whole.

Most likely Skyrim's recent history will be indicative of the rest of the continent. We almost never hear about the Empire as a whole. What was going on in Elsweyr when Talos conquered it? Was Summerset even controlled by Reman? Who the hell knows.

We know as much history as they teach in high school

I would like to see more books or possibly a movie or TV series (HBO)

Some of the lore gap might be told to us by MK, who is currently writing some interesting stuff. However, this seems to be before the novels started... Maybe they will continue til later dates. Time can be odd in the void... Or on that island. Or whatever. It is all very confusing to me.

My guess, Attrebus led the empire into a new golden age.
