Console commands and archievements

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 3:42 am

I know that using console commands (PC) will disable steam archievements. Does archievements still work if i first use a console command, then save and quit the entire game, then start it again?

I am not going to use cheats, i just wanna fix Lydia npc leveling issue.

It worked that way in New Vegas. As long as you save after using the command, the achievement checker would work upon reloading (make sure you fully exit the game).

That works. Restarting re-enables them.

Console doesn't affect achievements in Skyrim. I leveled my skills with console commands and got achievements for getting a skill to 100 and unlocking all perks in a tree.

Maybe that small patch today changed that too, though?

For me, I've had varying experience playing around with the console. Any of the major achievements must be earned honestly (main quest, faction quests, etc). However, I've earned a couple of the lesser achievements after having activated the console. So y.m.m.v., right? I tend to be careful using the console right now, worry about earning those achievements honestly, right? But this is a single-player game, and to each his own. At least that's my opinion. It all boils down to one phrase: have fun! :disguise:
