I've been trying to come up with a name for my character in Skyrim. I want to play as a Nord, but I don't want to use a recycled name from an online name generator. I thought that I might convert my real name into a Nord name, but I can't think of anything. So I hope that the lore buffs here might know some ways to convert my name, or can give me some tips on doing so.

My real name is Conor, and I want to play as a male Nord.

Using a Scandinavian name IRL would be my best guess. Language in TES isn't the most explored thing.

More serious: Nord names tend to be very Scandinavian and, well... Nordic-sounding. Seriously though, what about Conor Bear-Pelt?

It's still a Conan gag, but more subtle, and with a Nordic flavour. They like their epithets, after all. See, Bear-Pelt roughly translates to Berkserker, and in fantasy games, Berserkers and Barbarians are pretty much the same thing.

Conor is already not too far off. Konar? Konor? Khonur? Conchur (off the Irish)? Cnauir (hehehehe)?
