Nothing really indicates that its cold there. People wear summer clothing and are bare handed, bare chested outdoors everywhere. Hell winterhold guards uniform is barehanded. It is supposed to be cold? - nothing indicates this. Open buildings , no warm clothing , people sleeping in tents.

Most of them are Nords. They are resistant to the cold. It's even in their racial abilities.

Nords are tough winter people, but don't really have such an amazing resistance to cold. What keeps such a people well in the harsh weather is their knowledge how to fight the frost :D

Altough I agree with the bare chested thing, it is quite possible to sleep outdoor in -20-30 as long as you have a nice spot & a thick, dry sleeping bag/fur.

Just pray your hand doesn't slip out of the sack during the night, you don't notice such things till you awaken xD

Also, anyone noticed the Imperial Legion is wearing Summer Uniforms even ontop of the frozen mountains? *Facepalm*

When you live somewhere for so long you get used to it. Think of Alaska. You have people there thinking is "fine" weather... People you live in Califorina for most of their life go there for a week would be asking for 10 blankets just to go to the mail box. After awhile, though, your blood will get used to it and your body will stabilze. Next thing you know you'll be wearing shorts in Alaska too (maybe not shorts but you know what I mean).

But if you wanna be all cheesy and stuff, Nords are just super cool that way.

I saw a woman in the game warm her hands at one of those barrel fires. Cool touch to be added

This game is a masterpiece

As A Canadian I agree with my fellow "My country is [censored] frozen" player here. Sure, people from cold climates can deal with the cold better than people from the tropics, but that only applies to a certain degree. The human body can only tolerate so much, and anyone who tries to "tough out" a -30 day in shorts and a tee shirt will end up dead.

Ironically, I think the Grandmaster of the mages looks like one of the few people who decided that wearing robes was dumb and added some fur and gloves to his wardrobe.

......oh. I guess all the snow and wind and icicles and northern lights and glaciers and bears and frozen bodies of water and ice wraiths and ice don't really have too much to do with creating a sense of cold....

How would you know the amount of their cold resistance. This isn't the real world.
