What has happened between Oblivion and Skyrim

Okay i have quickly glanced the forums and found thus far only http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1260381-you-must-read-this-book-in-skyrim/ that provides info on the Great War (so i will be heading back to that city to read that book at some point).

Is there any information ingame, or elsewhere that details what happens ala the old Breif History of the Empire books etc, that details the history of Tamreil following the events of Obilvion and the start of Skyrim? Just for instance how was a new emperor found? etc etc etc

There is a book that summarizes the entire OB MQ, then there's the TES books (Infernal City and Lord of Souls), and The Great War.

I just found the one that summerises the OB MQ. So its these middle two i need now :)

I guess you can check the library in the College, not sure if they sell any books related there, but they surely have something.. :confused:
