Noob question, why is Cyrodiil shaped like the Conjuration/Daedra symbol?

You mean the daedric letter O? If so, I don't really see it. I guess if the entire lower Niben was missing it'd look sorta kinda alike.

Blame the Marukhati. Their little jig top the Leukochrysos loosed some nasty little sub-graphemic free radicals all over the local chrono-topographical subgradient, not to mention the havoc those buggers wrought on Nth fold Aurbical meninges in the pre-visual deocortex. Any perceived typographic pareidolia is a sad echo of that tragedy.
