The game is amazing... but...

I have noticed that the main story and factions seem to go by way to fast, even playing very slowly. It seems to me like "go here" and when you get back "hey, new guild leader, whats up?" And i am just sitting there like "wut." I realize this was probably done to rely on the radiant story, and maybe to fit the content on one disk, but i am still miffed at how i already completed the dark brotherhood and theives guild... in one night of lax gaming. I would rather have seen the same amount of questing, but radiant story at the end to embelish and make it seem like the story kept going, instead of having the radiant story keep going. The radiant story is cool and all, but doesn't satisfy like a set quest list did. Anyone else feeling the same way?

tl;dr factions and guilds are kinda short paced
inb4 i do love this game, and maybe its just cause i have 40 hours in it already.

I haven't finished any guilds or the MQ yet.
But I have heard the same thing.

I would agree that the only guild I have completed so far was shorter than I thought it was going to be. That said, there is a lot to do outside the guilds.

I’ve beaten the game with my first character and I tried my hardest not to do it fast, 75 hours in I just couldn’t take it anymore and let my curiosity take over. I wanted to know what happens. Now that I’ve beaten it I can actually start on my mage and not feel like I’m leaving my other character behind. I don’t plan on touching the main story until I’m at least a 30-40. I’ll possibly just run around and dungeon dive, the only guild I actually plan on joining is the College of Winterhold. But I’m sure at a much later date I’ll do the DB and Thieves.

I dno, don't think I coud do all that in one night
but I do get distracted very easily XD

still haven't completed any major questline (I think)
pretty far in the winterhold college quest line I think and while it does seem to go pretty fast it's been pretty epic so far
lot better than all the menial tasks the mage guild in oblivion had you perform

I completely agree. I have done every guild except the thieves guild and they finish way too quickly. You become the leader of the guilds just after running a few errands.

Definately. I played a lot of Morrowind prior to installing Skyrim, started the Companions questline and instantly became guild leader.

the questlines of this game are an absolute joke. all the worthwhile content is to be had in the dungeon delving.

seriously, the main quest... if i knew that the events of the previous games would lead to this 1-hour of nonsense, i would have taken martin into an oblvion gate and shoved him into a lava pit. a world ruled by mehrunes dagon would have made for a far better plot than this... i have to say, trash. my 11 year old niece has written better school reports than this mess of a story.
