I'm guessing sometime in the Merethic Era right?

http://www.imperial-library.info/content/high-hrothgar-tablets

This has some info on the Dragons and the wars with men but I don't think there were dates on the tables on the way up the mountain.

No specific dates but the information is good. At least gives you a overview of what happened.

Edit: http://www.imperial-library.info/content/skyrim-dragon-war

Here's another good one. You were right, the Merethic Era.

Edit 2: http://www.imperial-library.info/content/skyrim-atlas-dragons

Another good one. This just talks about some specific dragons but you can see some of them who were killed during the dragon war.

Oh good.

Then it's Merethic if you're reading UESP or that abortion of a TES wikia, and the Dawn otherwise.

I'm curious if there are any articles about dragons in the dawn era. I didn't think any history occurred then aside from the birth of the worlds and the actual beginning of history, with the elves, or was there notable history before this?

From what I've been able to tell, when the nords first arrived, meaning the arrival of Ysgramor, he taught the nords to worship the animals of the land, dragon chief among them. Humans pretty much bowed down to dragons but the dragons became to demanding and the humans rebelled.

Also it mentions the terrible rule of dragons in Atmora. Was this the "civil war" that Ysgramor and other fled from? Was this period the actual beginning of the Dragon war and it just eventually spread to Tamriel? If this is the case than the war began before the landing of Ysgramor on Tamriel around ME800 (I think this date is accurate >.>)

Dragon worship dates back to Atmora. Plus, Nordic myths have them created on Tamriel, at the throat of the world.

This particular issue will probably have to be saved for some other time, lest this article of mine turn into a full-blown thesis project.

I remember a lore buff saying, or maybe it was a book ingame, that all races started on Tamriel. Is that right?

It was the Nu-Mantia Intercept.

The Nords believe they began at High Hrothgar, and the rest of the humans besides the Redguards are indigenous and never left. The Redguards don't have a geographically-focused creation myth.

Nu-Mantia also states that Aldmeris never existed as a physical place, so that covers the Aldmer as well.
